Franke Sanitized

The kitchen can become a place for food and the spread of bacteria and requires attention to hygiene. In unprotected material, bacteria can multiply every 20 minutes with adverse health effects. Sanitized® integrated sanitary function in Franke Fragranite sinks helps keep this area clean and gives the sink lasting protection. It does not replace regular cleaning, but helps rid the surfaces of bacteria. Tests have shown that Fragranite Franke sinks with Sanitized® treatment reduce the spread and growth of germs by 99%.

Sanitized® treatment helps keep the surface of the sink healthy and protected from bacteria and germs after and between normal cleaning cycles.

The treated material reduces the risk of bacteria spreading and transporting.

The transportability of bacteria is higher in raw materials.

The basic product comes from 80% natural stone and 20% resin and polymer compounds

The production process:

- Mixing quartz sand (Silicon dioxide)

- Extraction of natural quartz sand (which is chemically silicon dioxide but is a mineral in natural form)

- Once the raw material is washed and dried (quartz sand), this solution (looks like a pellet) goes to a rotary kiln press where

it is mixed with the inorganic adhesive (silicate salt or ester at a very low concentration of less than 0.5%) and at a very high temperature inorganic pigment is added to the mixture.

- Natural quartz sand is chemically unaffected by the process.
